The Mission Call Has Arrived!!!!
The bishop had told Jordan that the call was in the mail on Friday, August 19th so we checked the mail diligently everyday looking for it. We knew that mission calls came on Thursdays to Cedar so on Thursday we were EXTRA excited!! I got a text aroun 11:00 am when I was with my class out a recess on Thursday, August 25th that the call had arrived!!!!!! Jordan sent me a picture of the envelope. Mark sent me a text that said they couldn't wait to open it and that Jordan was going to Korea. Haha!!! We had a busy day that day. We were all at school and Jordan had to work that afternoon and it was the Cedar vs. CV soccer game too. So we decided we would have an "opening" party at 8:00pm that night. We invited grandma and grandpa, David and Julie and family and a few special friends. We got grandma and grandpa Comstock on the speaker phone. Jordan opened it and read it outloud. We did not know how to pronounce Tegucigalpa but Honduras we knew. That was not a place any of us imagined. Except for our hometeacher. He actually did guess Honduras. (We had a map hanging in the house for the last little while and we had everyone who came over write their guess for where they thought Jordan would go.) Jordan could not have been more excited!!!! He was only a bit disappointed he had to wait so long to leave. He was to report to the MTC on January 4, 2012.
